What has BP done so far to clean up the oil and what attempts have they made at plugging up the well?
I’m writing a paper on the oil spill and I have a lot of great information…but I’m still unsure about what BP has actually done to fix the problem, how many places the oil is coming from, and why exactly the pressure control systems failed? and when they did fail, how did that cause an explosion? Answers to any of these questions would be appreciated
I’m also interested in hearing opinions on the matter.
The company that own this rig Transocean built it and even staffed it have done very little to plug the leak while BP who lease it have made several unsuccessful attempts to stop the oil and even agreed to pay for the clean up.The reason why the plug failed is so far unclear but was probably caused by gas mixing with the oil which accidentally ignited
